Hello! Although I just had my wisdom teeth removed yesterday, my mouth was feeling well enough for me to get out of the house today for about an hour. What was my motivation to get out of the house? Well, one of my favorite thrift stores was having its "Dollar Days" sale in which all clothing simply costs $1. How crazy is that? I ended up purchasing five items for just five bucks. Items that came home with me included vintage polka dot shorts, a striped tee shirt, a vintage daisy dress, a vintage gingham sleeveless button down and a vintage plaid romper. Several of the items that I purchased need a little bit of DIY love but they are definitely worth the extra little bit of work (nothing too fancy- mainly just shortening sleeves, hemming, studding, etc.)

These photos were taken right after my excursion to the thrift shop. Please excuse any puffiness/redness of my face due to my recent wisdom teeth removal surgery.

My outfit today was stylish yet cozy as I have spent most of my day curled up working on future blog posts, catching up on my favorite TV shows and working on DIYS (soon to be showcased!). I styled my outfit around these dark green knee-high socks that I recently received complimentary from Soxxy for review purposes. These are the Katie Socks and they retail for $35. They are made from 80% Merino Wool. And let me just say that I am absolutely in love with them. The first thing that attracted me to this specific pair of socks was the lovely green color. I am also very pleased by the comfort and coziness of the socks. They will be the perfect pair of socks to wear with my light-weight dresses this fall at PhilaU. Another major plus of Soxxy socks is that they feature a gripping material at the top of the socks so that you don't have to keep pulling up your socks all day- what a relief!

Today, I chose to pair my Soxxy socks with my vintage camouflage jacket. Although this jacket is more of a fall piece, I couldn't resist pulling it out of my wardrobe to wear today. I decided to not go too crazy with prints today and simply grabbed a polka dot wristlet to complement the print of my jacket.

The core of my outfit was relatively simple- just a white, lace peplum top, my favorite black shorts and my beat-up combat boots. I accessorized with a classic pair of sunglasses (thanks, Giant Vintage!) and a temporary tattoo intended to look like an eye (thanks, Wanderlustiny!)

My makeup consisted of cat-eye eyeliner and some ULTA lipstick. I threw my hair up in a bun with my black Goody Hair Ouchless Ribbon Elastic. I've been loving these Goody Hair Ouchless Ribbon Elastics that I recently received complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. They definitely make it easy to put my hair up and are much easier to take out than traditional hair elastics- no more getting tangled in my hair. And who likes to have to cut hair elastics out of their hair?
