Summer Days Drifting Away

Hello! As my post title suggests, my summer days are drifting away (anyone catch the Grease reference?) I have exactly one month before I move into my dorm at PhilaU. And I have so much more to do before then- dorm room shopping, school supply shopping, wisdom teeth removal, work, the list goes on and on. This last month of summer will be filled with both preparation for college and relaxation while I soak in the last days of summer. 

Today, I styled my look around these bright sunflower-yellow shorts. Although I usually shy away from bright colors (and yellow in fact), I am hooked on these shorts. I end up wearing them practically every week. They are bright but not in an obnoxious over the top way. However, I try to tone them done a little when I wear them either by styling them with neutral or dark colors. And of course, I love the high-rise of the shorts which gives them the loveliest retro vibe. 

For today's look, I paired them with my dark green blouse. This shirt has also gotten a lot of wear this summer. You can see other ways that I have styled it this summer HERE, HERE, HERE & HERE. What can I say? The dark green color has me swooning! Not to mention the fact that I can wear it with practically anything and everything.

I decided to throw a print into the mix by donning these black and white polka dot heels. I love the chunky, platform heel of these shoes. It makes them much easier to walk in than sky-high, spike stilettos. I accessorized by grabbing a stylish pair of sunglasses and by pinning a few buttons on my blouse including a Disney Pluto pin, "Dressed to Kill" button and "H" button. Red lipstick polished the look off.
