Hello! I recently scored this leopard print dress second-hand at Ashby in Carytown. When I spotted it for just about $10, I knew that it had to be mine. Its eye-catching print, subtle slits and flattering zip-up silhouette all contribute to its stylish appeal. I wanted to play up its dramatic flair for this look so I layered on the feline charm with a faux fur leopard print jacket. I love the leopard print on leopard print combo- it's so obnoxious, so loud and just somehow still SO right.

A trendy pair of fishnet stockings and big octagon hoop earrings added to the sex appeal of the look. I slipped into a pair of black heeled booties and threw on my rhinestone "SEXY" choker necklace with the look as well. A pink velvet scrunchie, oversize pink aviator shades and a swipe of Barbie pink lipstick added my signature touch of feminine color to the outfit.

Hello! Shein recently sent me this pretty burgundy sweater to incorporate into my winter wardrobe. This is their "Plunge Drop Shoulder Cable Knit Sweater" and it retails for $18 here. I decided to style it with a few other burgundy pieces for a statement monochromatic look. I layered the sweater over a maroon dress and also slipped on a pair of thigh-high socks in a matching hue.

I added a touch of feminine charm to the look with a rhinestone and pearl embellished necklace and a pretty pink scarf tied in a bow around my neck. Paisley platform heels and peachy cat-eye sunglasses added my signature vintage flair to the look. A classic watch, a couple golden rings and a swipe of coordinating lipstick perfected the look.

Hello! Shein recently sent me this striped top to incorporate into my winter wardrobe and I've already worn it several times. This is their "Frill Trim Pinstripe Sweatshirt" and it retails for $17 here. I love its classic print, boxy silhouette and ruffled detailing; I seriously can't get over how much I love its frilly sleeves. Ha- I guess you could say I'm wearing my heart on my sleeves! The overly feminine detailing of the sleeves looks great peeking out from underneath any jacket or coat.

I played up its classic appeal for this look and layered it over a little black fringe dress. I emphasized the fun fringe detailing of the dress by slipping on a fringe jacket with it as well. I love how the sleeves of the sweater look peeking out from underneath the fringe jacket. I made my outfit a little more appropriate for the chilly weather we've been experiencing here in Richmond with a pair of black opaque tights and a vintage fur beret.

I added a slight touch of color to the look with a vintage pair of green booties and chic green purse. Red lipstick and classic golden jewelry perfected the look.

Woodstock in my Dreams

Hello! The styles of the late sixties and early seventies inspired me while styling this dreamy bohemian look. I transported back to Woodstock in my mind as I selected the pieces to perfect this look.

I recently discovered this eye-catching romper while on one of my Ashby trips and I instantly fell in love with it. I immediately grabbed it and headed to the dressing room and when I slipped it on, I knew that it had to be mine. Its mustard yellow color reminiscent of decades past, breezy boho floral print and bell sleeves all called out to me. It feels very "Jimi Hendrix in the sixties" to me. Discovering pockets in the romper further delighted me because truly what's better than a dress/romper with pockets?

I styled it with a pair of golden platform boots and a shaggy Free People sweater. I accessorized with turquoise rings, statement celestial earrings and a simple golden pendant necklace. Cozy thigh-high socks, a stylish green purse and colorful shades completed the look.

Hello! What's one of the best parts of having fashion-minded friends? Being able to raid their wardrobes! I borrowed this gorgeous maroon dress from my friend Hannah for this photoshoot with one of my favorite Richmond photographers, Rachel Dwyer. The eye-catching berry hue and effortless silhouette of the dress instantly drew me to it in Hannah's wardrobe.

I layered a vintage fringe jacket with the dress to create the seventies aesthetic that I strive for. A pink paisley vintage scarf, boho wedges and yellow sunglasses also contributed to the retro mood of the look. I accessorized with a golden chain necklace, a couple vintage rings and eye-catching portrait earrings. A swipe of Barbie pink lipstick and my favorite watch perfected the look.

Fashion, Trends & More x Grace Ross Photography

Hello! I recently teamed up with local Richmond photographer, Grace Ross, for a shoot at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. The VMFA reigns supreme as one of my favorite spots in Richmond and I always like shooting in the surrounding area. Grace usually prefers shooting landscapes but has recently expanded to portraiture as well. I enjoyed working with Grace and would highly recommend her to anyone in Richmond looking for a photographer.

I slipped on one of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe for our shoot: this cream-colored statement jumpsuit. I love its bold style and seventies flair. I wanted to enhance the seventies essence of the jumpsuit so I slipped on a mustard yellow cardigan and a vintage neck scarf with the jumpsuit. Major platform heels and a vintage clutch also contributed to the retro mood of the look. A pair of yellow sunglasses, statement earrings and a touch of light peach lipstick perfected the look.

Seventies Americana

Hello! For this look, I styled a couple of my favorite vintage pieces in my wardrobe together: this seventies red, white and blue zig zag striped dress and seventies preppy white sweater. It's more difficult to find authentic seventies vintage pieces so when I do find a seventies gem like this dress or sweater, I'm always stoked. I thrifted this little red, white and blue dress a couple years ago and have worn it countless times. I really love its retro silhouette, all American colors and groovy zig zag stripe pattern. You can see how I styled it last year on my blog here.

I thrifted this preppy white sweater more recently and couldn't wait until the weather cooled down just a touch so I could style it with the dress. You can see how I've styled it previously on my blog here. I love the preppy all American feel of the sweater; it's so different from what I'm typically drawn to but it's just such a statement seventies piece. I played up the red, white and blue color aesthetic of the dress-sweater combination with a vintage Budweiser bandana worn around my neck and denim platform heels. I accessorized with several vintage accessories and statement shades. A swipe of red lipstick pulled the whole look together.

Hello! I pulled out one of my favorite dresses in my wardrobe for this look: this little pink seventies number. I scored this pink beauty at a local Richmond thrift shop earlier this year and it's quickly worked its way into my heart. Its feminine pale pink color, dreamy sheer sleeves and classic seventies charm all have me swooning over it. You can see a couple other ways that I've styled it before here and here

I wanted to play up the seventies style of the dress for this look so I also slipped on a vintage paisley scarf and vintage fur beret. I enhanced the feminine appeal of the look with pearl adorned jewelry and a golden vintage purse that originally belonged to my grandmother. A peachy pink pair of cat-eye shades and paisley platform heels perfected the look.

Richmond, Virginia October 1974

Hello! Autumnal styles of the early seventies inspired me for this photoshoot. I often transport to a different time, or a different place in my mind when styling my outfits and I wanted to go for "Richmond, Virginia in October of 1974" for this look.

To achieve that aesthetic, I pulled out a little patterned boho dress from my wardrobe. Its pretty colors, flattering silhouette and retro design all make it an easy go-to for any seventies chic look. I paired it with a vintage fringe jacket to make it a little more fall-appropriate. A patchwork pair of platform booties and a vintage gray clutch added to the "October 1974" vibe of the look. Oversize sunglasses (what I casually refer to as my "diva" sunglasses), a vintage neck scarf and a chic golden necklace perfected the look.

Hello! I recently collaborated with Richmond creatives, Hannah Carroll and Elissa Rumford, for a photoshoot for Hannah's brand, Elements of Society, which will be launching soon. For this shoot, I modeled one of Elements of Society's prettiest vintage dresses: this eye-catching red beauty. I love its slightly off-the-shoulder silhouette, fiery red hot color and luxurious satin texture.

I played up the elegant vintage vibes of this look by slipping on a couple pair of statement vintage Chanel necklaces, portrait earrings and a gorgeous golden ring. I also accessorized with a chic pair of cat-eye sunglasses, a sleek watch and white heeled sandals. A swipe of matte red lipstick perfected the look.

Keep an eye on Elements of Society to shop this dress when it becomes available for sale.

Hello! I pulled out one of my favorite little black dresses from my wardrobe for this look because hey- you can never go wrong with a little black dress, am I right? The dramatic sleeves and flattering silhouette of this dress make it a good go-to when I'm stuck figuring out what to wear time and time again.

I've already styled the dress for my blog a couple times before (which you can see here and here) so I really wanted to switch things up for this look. I decided to play around with layering and emphasize the dramatic nature of the dress' sleeves by slipping on a cozy mustard yellow sweater.

I complemented the yellow hue of the sweater with a green and yellow vintage scarf worn around my neck. I added another touch of green to the look with a pair of green sunglasses, green wedges and a green purse. A golden necklace and bold red lipstick perfected the look.
