Hello! I pulled one of my favorite dresses out for a recent photoshoot with Richmond photographer, Rachel Dwyer. I've already worn this floral embroidered little black slip dress several times since receiving it a few weeks ago.  Its classic silhouette, versatile black hue and dreamy rosy detailing have all earned it a special spot in my wardrobe.

I dressed it up for this look with an eye-catching black beaded jacket. I discovered this vintage beauty of a jacket sometime last fall and immediately fell in love. I think I briefly listed it in RaddayVintage, my Etsy shop at the time, before deciding to hang onto it for myself. It instantly glams up any look.

I wanted to highlight the pretty pink and green hues in the floral embroidery of the dress so I accessorized with coordinating colors. I played up the green coloring in the embroidery with a green vintage purse (passed down from my grandmother!) and vintage green heels. I slipped on a trendy pair of green shades with the look for several shots as well. I emphasized the rosy pink coloring in the embroidery with a peachy pink pair of cat-eye sunglasses and a Barbie pink shade of lipstick.

Trendy statement earrings, a couple golden necklaces and several rings perfected the look.

The Dress of My Dreams

Hello! SheIn recently sent me this chic dress to incorporate into my fall wardrobe and I instantly fell so in love with it that I wore it practically the day after receiving it in the mail. This is SheIn's "Fluted Sleeve Vine Embroidered Gingham Dress" and it retails for $17 here. Its effortless silhouette, black and white checked print and colorful embroidery all captured my heart.

I wanted to play up the pretty shades of blue and pink in the dress' embroidery so I grabbed a bright pink pair of sunglasses and a chic navy purse. Burgundy velvet booties reinforced the color aesthetic. A navy bandana, simple golden accessories and a swipe of pink lipstick perfected the look.

Black and White with a Touch of Red

Hello! I recently raided the wardrobe of my friend, Hannah, for a photoshoot introducing her brand, Elements of Society. For the past few months, Hannah has poured her heart and soul into Elements of Society, a soon-to-be online storefront where you'll be able to shop the raddest fashions- both vintage and modern. She hasn't quite launched yet so she's keeping things a little quiet until then but be sure to keep an eye on my blog for a post more about her brand in the next few weeks. I pulled a couple pieces from her Elements of Society selection for this look including the chic dress that I'm wearing above.

This little floral dress instantly drew me in; its versatile colors, flattering silhouette and chic floral print all called out to me. Bell sleeves added to its appeal. I wanted to emphasize the seventies vibe of the bell sleeves of the dress so I styled a pair of my platform paisley heels with it. The chunky shape, muted colors and psychedelic print of the heels practically scream "seventies." I also borrowed a vintage pink paisley scarf from Elements of Society to further add to the seventies retro flair of the look. I ended up loving the scarf so much that I actually purchased it from Elements of Society. Expect to see a lot more of it in the future!

I added a touch of red to the look with a pair of red aviator sunglasses and red matte lipstick. The aviator sunglasses also contributed to the vintage aesthetic.

Peachy Keen Fifties Dream Queen

Hello! I thrifted this Barbie doll pink vintage dress a few months ago and still constantly find myself wearing it. There's nothing better than its vintage appeal, overly girly color and flattering, feminine silhouette.

I styled the dress with a pretty mustard yellow cardigan to add to the colorful appeal of this peachy keen look. SheIn recently sent me this chic cardigan to incorporate into my wardrobe and I can already tell that it'll be getting a lot of wear this season. I love its seventies-esque mustard yellow hue, cozy knit texture and breezy silhouette. This is SheIn's "Drop Shoulder Lantern Sleeve Slit Textured Cardigan" and it retails for $22 here

I played up the pink color of the dress with a matching velvet scrunchie, a pretty pink purse and peachy cat-eye shades. Giant Vintage recently refreshed my wardrobe with a few new pairs of shades including this pair and I couldn't be more stoked. This pair has a special hold on me in particular what with its dreamy fifties cat-eye shape, peachy color and feminine charm. Mod vintage orange and white creamsicle earrings added to the retro appeal of the look.

I accentuated the peachy keen fifties dream queen mood of the look with colorful makeup; I selected mustard yellow and peach eyeshadow for my eyes complemented with a couple pink rhinestones worn in the inner corner of my eyes and a peach-colored swipe of lipstick.

Hello! I recently collaborated on a photoshoot with Bruce Allen, a Northern Virginia photographer. Vintage aesthetics inspired the mood for our shoot and we opted to shoot in my cute lil seventies-inspired home to play up the retro flair.

I pulled out a little velvet bodysuit for my first look. Zaful recently sent me this bodysuit to incorporate into my fall wardrobe and I basically never want to take it off. Okay, okay I may be acting a bit dramatic but words cannot describe my love for this bodysuit. This is their "Plunging Neck Slip Velvet Bodysuit" in wine red and it retails for $12.49 here. I styled it with a matching pair of burgundy velvet heeled booties and fishnet stockings for a slightly edgier look than usual for myself. Statement celestial earrings, a leopard print scrunchie and a dark shade of lipstick perfected the look.

For the second look, I slipped into a bright Barbie doll pink vintage teddy. I love its pretty, ridiculous color and frilly, lace detailing. I kept it from being basic by pairing it with a seventies-inspired pair of aviator glasses, trendy portrait earrings and a bold red lip color.

Seventies Chic, Per Usual

Hello! SheIn recently sent me this dress to incorporate into my wardrobe and I was so excited to wear it that I styled it for a shoot the very next day after receiving it in the mail. This is SheIn's "Buttoned Keyhole Front Lantern Sleeve Embroidered Smock Dress" dress and it retails for $24 here. Its breezy silhouette, seventies-inspired embroidery and boho design all captured my heart.

I played up its retro appeal for this look by styling it with what I call my "seventies disco heels," a multi-colored pair of metallic platform heels. I had fun with color for this look, grabbing a bright pink pair of sunglasses and bold teal earrings to pair with the dress. Boho rings, a golden vintage watch and a chic vintage navy-colored purse perfected the look.

Stop and Smell the Roses

Hello! Zaful recently sent me this little black dress to incorporate into my fall wardrobe and I've been wearing it on repeat week after week ever since receiving it. This is their "Slip Lace Embroidered Rose Applique Dress" and it retails for $13.99 here. Its floral rose embroidery, classic silhouette and lace details make it a black dress unlike any other LBD in my wardrobe. I'm looking forward to all of the different ways that I can style it this fall; I love it without any layers (like featured above) but am also excited to experiment with layering other pieces with it. I think it'd look especially good with a warm-colored turtleneck layered underneath of it or a fringe jacket layered over top of it.

I wanted to play up the rosy color of the floral embroidery on the dress so I slipped into a burgundy pair of velvet booties. I added a touch of pink to the look with a trendy pair of pink sunglasses and matching lipstick. I accessorized with simple golden jewelry and my favorite statement purse.

Hello! I recently teamed up with Nicholas Von Thrower, a local Richmond photographer, for a collaborative photoshoot. Nick and I have collaborated together throughout the past few years and he continually impresses me with his work. You can see our previous shoots on my blog here, here, here, here and here

For this photoshoot, we utilized my dreamy seventies home as the location. We focused on color and texture for the shoot, selecting garments in rich textures like velvet as well as pieces in warm-colored hues like maroon and pale pink. The looks reflected the dreamy seventies appeal of my home and captured a very vintage essence. Nick played around with a prism to create unique photo effects that helped us to achieve maximum seventies, hazy magic.

I will be posting more favorite shots from the collaboration throughout the next month on my Instagram so be sure to follow me @toriradday to see more from this shoot.

Hello! It recently cooled down enough in Richmond that I was able to pull out one of my favorite pieces from my wardrobe: this cream-colored vintage dream of a jacket. My grandmother passed this vintage beauty down to me from her wardrobe several years ago and I have a feeling that I'll cherish it forever. You can see how I've styled it before here, here and here.

Years past inspired my styling for this look and more specifically fall of 1967 in Paris, France. I styled it with a cream-colored jumpsuit and I love the monochromatic appeal of the cream-on-cream color combination. I added to the late sixties/early seventies vibe of the look by slipping into a paisley pair of platform heels. Aviator glasses and a vintage fur beret contributed to the retro flair of the look as well. Golden statement earrings, a stylish watch and a swipe of dark lipstick added to the chic Parisian flair of the look.

Hello! I thrifted this little green dress a couple months ago and it's quickly becoming one of my favorite dresses in my wardrobe despite not having yet made an appearance on the blog. Its rich emerald green color instantly drew me in when I spotted it at a local Richmond thrift shop. It fit me like a dream when I tried it on and I knew it was meant to be. Its silky texture, flattering silhouette and subtle elegance all contribute to my love for it.

I styled it with an assortment of golden accessories and nude heels for this look. Golden sunglasses and a silver statement purse perfected the look.
