Sunglasses: c/o Giant Vintage
Hello! It's been about a month since my last DIY so I thought that I would bring another one to you today. This DIY is for a studded sunglasses pouch.
A few months ago, I made a different DIY sunglasses pouch and I love it. I use it to protect the sunglasses that I keep in the glove compartment of my car. It serves its purpose of holding and protecting my sunglasses perfectly. So today I decided to make another sunglasses pouch but with a slightly different design- patterned and studded. So perfect for holding my sunglasses in my bag when out shopping. I will easily be able to find my sunglasses in my bag no matter how many other things are in my bag with this case holding them. These pouches can also be used to store sunglasses in your room or in your car.
Anyway, onto the DIY!
Level of difficulty: Easy to medium difficulty. You must be able to either hand-sew or machine-sew to complete this DIY.
Supplies: Patterned fabric, scissors, needle/sewing machine, thread, pins and studs.
Cost: The cost for this DIY should be very minimal. This DIY did not cost me any money because I already had all of the supplies. I used fabric from an old table cloth and studs left over from a different DIY project. If you are crafty like myself then you likely already have all the supplies and this DIY should not cost you any money. If you don't have any of the materials, the cost of the DIY should still be minimal. The studs should cost less than $3 and the fabric should cost less than $5.
Time: This DIY should take between 20 and 45 minutes depending on your DIY skills.
Steps:
1. Gather materials.
2. Measure how much fabric you would like to use by laying out the sunglasses on the fabric. The fabric should be able to cover the sunglasses with a little bit of wiggle room.
3. Fold the fabric inside out and pin it down. Make sure that you don't pin the opening of the sunglasses pouch down. You need to be able to get the sunglasses in and out of the pouch after all!
4. Either hand-sew or use your sewing machine to sew the fabric (still inside out) together. Turn the case right-side out. Now you have your pouch!
5. Use studs to adorn the outside of the pouch. Use as many or as few studs as you would like to create the look that you were going for.
6. Toss your sunglasses in your DIY studded sunglasses pouch and you are ready to go!
Thanks for your lovely comment! :) The pouch looks amazing...Great job!! x
