Hello! I hope that your week has been off to a good start. For me, this is the last week before my two week winter break so I am definitely excited! It does not feel like mid to late December at all to me which is perhaps caused by the ever fluctuating temperatures here in RVA. A few weeks ago, it was quite frigid but the temperatures are back up in the 50's this week. Looks like no snow anytime soon for us! Are you expecting snow any time soon?
For the unusually warm December weather, I chose to don a pair of green pants paired with a knit sweater and black blazer. I was going for a menswear inspired look today and my blazer, nerdy glasses, fox brooch, plain pants and suitcase convey that theme.
However, I added femininity to my look with a lovely, knit sweater, sky high heels and loose curls. As of late, I have been stealing Molly Ringwald's hairstyle from the eighties. She rocked short, wavy hair like no other (excluding Marilyn Monroe because hello, have you seen Marilyn's gorgeous locks?) This fur collar added the finishing touch to my look not to mention provided a great place to stick my fox pin. Shout-out to my aunt Nancy and uncle Gil for picking this vintage fur collar up for me from a thrift shop in Florida! They also got me a ton of great leopard print pieces but that's a whole other story that I will tell you about later.
Oh and good luck to those who still have not finished their holiday shopping! There is only a week left until Christmas and the stores are going to be packed with people who are finishing up their gift shopping. I know that Justice sure was crowded over this past weekend and I predict that it will be doubly as busy this weekend.
