Vintage Corduroy

October 2015

Hello! Recently, the weather has been all over the place. It'll go from being so cold that I'm shivering wearing faux fur to being so warm that I'm sweating in a lightweight sweater. The weather warmed up at one point last week and I decided to take advantage of it and pull this sleeveless, vintage dress out of my wardrobe. I purchased it at a thrift shop for less than $5 a couple years ago and while I don't wear it that often, it holds a special place in my wardrobe. The deep plum color, basic silhouette and corduroy all make this dress a stunner.

Although the dress is vintage, I was going for a very modern, hip, minimalist look so I played down the rest of the look. I paired the dress with a pair of color-blocked thigh high socks and heeled booties. I kept accessories to a minimum and just slipped on a golden pair of sunglasses and trendy marble printed cuff.

Deep purple dress: Vintage
Thigh high socks: Go Jane
Black booties: Daily Look
Marble print bracelet: Charlotte Russe
Golden sunglasses: c/o Giant Vintage
