Fall/Winter 2015 Trend Report: Major Fur

Fall/Winter 2015 Trend Report: Major Fur

Hello! If you haven't already noticed from my last few outfits post, I'm currently obsessing over faux fur. It's so luxe, so glam, so rich, how could I resist? While faux fur has been lingering around the past few winter seasons, faux fur is hitting the fashion industry with full force this season. From spotting faux fur on my girl crush, Aisha Hatter, to watching it strut down the runway to seeing it featured in Scream Queens every week, I've developed a major crush on the trend.

This season, designers such as Prabal Gurung, Fendi, and Michael Kors sent the most breath-taking fur designs down their runways. Designers worked fur collars, fur vests, major fur coats and other fur detailing into their designs.

I already have quite a few faux fur items in my closet (a faux fur vest, four faux fur coats/jackets and one major vintage fur coat) but continue to lust after the glamorous faux fur coats that are popping up everywhere. I'm particularly enchanted by Nasty Gal's eclectic selection of faux fur coats; there's a multi-colored faux fur coat that they offer for $218 that I'm practically crying over because it's so perfect yet so expensive (there's no way I could afford to add that beauty to my wardrobe.)

Additionally, the most magnificent faux fur coat was featured on this month's cover of Seventeen. The alternating shades of red and pink combined with the major fluff factor of the coat have me head over heels in love. If only this coat would magically appear in my wardrobe!

Another factor that's currently influencing my obsession over faux fur is the television show, Scream Queens. It's a comedy horror type show featuring Emma Roberts. What really draws me into the show is the fashion featured; I can't get over the wardrobes of the main characters- pastel colors, major platform heels and best yet- superb fur coats!

One thing is for sure, you can bet that I'll be pulling my faux fur pieces out constantly this season! What do you guys think of this trend?
