Eyelet & Polka Dots

Hello! Today, I decided to wear my olive colored romper. I simply cannot get enough of this romper! If I had to choose my top ten favorite things in my wardrobe, this romper would certainly be one of them. For this look, I chose to layer it underneath of a vintage, polka dot skirt. One of the things that I love about this romper-skirt combo is the way that the eyelet texture of the romper is highlighted against the polka dot pattern of the skirt. White ankle boots and white heart sunglasses brought out the white polka dots in the pattern of my skirt.

To keep my hair off of my neck, I braided it up, milkmaid-style. At first, I didn't think my hair would be long enough for this style but to my delight, I found out that it is. This hairstyle is just such an easy, breezy hairstyle that is perfect for keeping my thick hair off of my neck during hot summer days. Typically, I'm not very good at doing my hair (hence the fact that I practically always wear it down) but this hairstyle is actually pretty easy to do. A good tutorial for the milkmaid hairstyle can be found HERE.

  5. i like the olive+navy together! it's a little unexpected, but it works well. i'm also a huge fan of milkmaid braids and was also surprised that they were easy to do, so now i do it every now and then. :D
