Hello! If you know me, then you know my passion for maroon. I decided to go on a little maroon adventure and experiment with mixing different shades of maroon and burgundy together through these outfits.

Sometimes I find it easier to style a look around an accessory like a pair of tights instead of a dress, top, etc. so I decided to start my look with these simple, maroon tights. The second that I slipped them on, I knew that I had to style them with my vintage Houndstooth blazer which features maroon in the pattern. Instead of opting for a plain dress, I chose to switch things up with an olive green romper. Who says that you can't wear rompers in February? The look was perfected with another dose of maroon in the form of a hat. Simple brown sunglasses and strappy black heels wrapped up the look.

For my sister's look, I started with this burgundy, lace dress. There are so many ways to style this dress! I never get tired of exploring new ways to style it. You can see how I last styled it HERE. This time, I paired it with a gorgeous vintage sweater and motorcycle boots. One of the reasons for my love of this dress-sweater combo is that the embellishments of the sweater really complement the burgundy/maroon color of the dress. I also had Missi throw on a tan-colored hat because truly, who can say no to a good hat? Her look was completed with the addition of a pair of over-sized black sunglasses which I won in a giveaway on True Blue Abbi.

To add to the vintage appeal of our looks, we posed in a woodsy setting located just a few minutes from our house. Missi and I also grabbed a few books to pose with off of my bookshelf. Missi posed with a copy of Les Miserables which I have yet to read. However, it's on my list of "to read" books. I posed with Wuthering Heights which I recently read in school. It definitely wasn't my favorite book but wasn't my least favorite either. Have you guys read either of these books? Do you have a favorite out of the two?

I hope that you guys are enjoying your week! We only have about a week left until March begins. I can already smell the spring blossoms!
