The sixties are baaaaack! And I couldn't be happier. Although you may first think of hippie inspired looks when you think of the sixties, mod prints and black/white combos were also popular during the decade. In my opinion, the designer who debuted the best sixties inspired collection this season was Marc Jacobs. Black and white graphic prints? Check. Mixing of different graphic prints? Check. Updated sixties styles? Check. Now I just have to figure out where I can get similar looks without going broke; I think that I may try my hand at a DIY or two in order to stock this trend in my wardrobe.
Not only did Marc Jacobs nail the laidback, mod ensembles but he also sent his models down the runway with flawless sixties hair. I am seriously swooning over the big, poufy hair styles that the models wore. My hair may not be quite long enough to pull them off yet but I can guarantee you that I will try. Oh, Bridget Bardot how I long for your enviable hair! I will definitely also be rocking the Twiggy eye makeup this spring.
Anyone else planning on trying out any of these trendy sixties inspired styles?
