DIY: Faux Fur Bag

Ever since I saw the famous heart + bleecker DIY faux fur bag, I've been lusting after one. Check it out here. I wanted to make my own and was waiting for the chance to buy some faux fur. Then I realized that I already had some extra white faux fur from pillow cases that weren't being used. I decided to start on making my own faux fur bag. This was kind of like a practice bag for me. I plan on buying some nicer fur and a longer chain to make a really glamorous bag for the fall/winter.

Level of difficulty: easy-medium

Cost: It cost me nothing but it would cost less than $15 probably less than $10 to get all the supplies you need.

Materials: Faux fur, chain(length and color your choice), thread, scissors, sewing machine, muslin

Method: First, use your muslin and cut out a pattern for your bag. Leave a small hole at the top so that you can put your cell phone and wallet in it. Sew this and see if you like it. If you do, pin it down to your faux fur and then cut it out. Put the right sides of the faux fur together and sew. Then turn this right side out. Hand sew or use safety pins to put the chain on the inside of the bag. Voila! Instant fall glam!

Also, I don't know if you noticed or not but now I have my own domain name!:)
