Locks of Love

image

Hello! Yesterday, I had 15 inches of my hair cut off to donate to Locks of Love. Locks of Love is a non-profit organization that accepts donations of hair of at least ten inches and then uses that hair to make wigs for children who have cancer and have lost their hair. Donating to Locks of Love is a great cause and I'm pleased to have been able to donate again. This is my third time donating to Locks of Love and I hope to continue growing out my hair and donating it to Locks of Love. I previously donated to Locks of Love about two and a half years ago; you can check out the post here. I'm lucky enough to have gorgeous healthy hair that grows really quickly and it only seems right that I donate it and help the kids who no longer have hair.

And it's only fitting that such a monumental change in my look would be the 800th post on my blog. Yes, this is my 800th post! Looking back on the past five or so years, it's unbelievable how much time, effort and attention that I've put into writing and creating these blog posts. Blogging has opened many doors for me and has shaped my entire life. I don't believe that I will ever grow tired of blogging and instead will continue to grow and improve my writing skills through blogging.

For my look today, I styled my outfit around this effortless black dress. The asymmetrical cut and classic appeal of this dress make it my favorite little black dress that I've ever owned. I dressed the look up with several pieces of bohemian, free-spirited jewelry; I slipped on a delicate stone bracelet, tusk ring, a couple golden band rings, a dainty golden necklace and a bold stone necklace. Berry lipstick and platform sandals completed the look.

  1. I am so jealous that your hair grows so quickly!! It's taken me goodness knows how long to get mine back down to my shoulders again *sigh*. This is a perfect laid back look, love it!
