Carytown

image

Hello! This past Friday marked the beginning of my spring break and I am currently back in Richmond. I absolutely love Richmond and am happy to be back even if just for a week. The weather today was absolutely perfect- sunny skies, slight breeze and a warm temperature. I took advantage of the nice weather by strolling around Carytown and browsing through a few vintage and thrift shops.

For this look, I borrowed an elephant print top from my sister's wardrobe. The bohemian elephant print, neutral colors and breezy style of this top give it a free-spirited hippie feel and I absolutely love it. I attempted to convince my sister to hand this top over to me permanently but the shirt has also captured her heart and she's not willing to give it up. I donned a textured white circle skirt and quirky jelly sandals with the top.

To create a eclectic, free-spirited vibe, I played around with my accessories. I started by layering several golden necklaces and then slipped on a pair of round sunglasses. I added a pop of color to the look with a bold cobalt blue bag. I just thrifted this bag yesterday and I'm very pleased with the purchase; the textured print, vintage appeal, unique color and effortless style of the bag make a quirky statement. Red lipstick completed the look.
