Pastel Pink Perfection

May 2016
May 2016

Hello! As you all may know, I recently graduated from Philadelphia University with a bachelor's degree in fashion merchandising and management. After three years of hard work, various internships and countless hours spent studying, I'm happy to say that I graduated with a degree in a field that I love.

As a treat to myself for graduating (and graduating early at that!), I decided to splurge on a pair of Jeffrey Campbell shoes. For the past couple months, I had been browsing Jeffrey Campbell's selection of shoes to decide which pair would soon be mine. Jeffrey Campbell has so many fab options that they were all practically on my "want" list.

I decided to narrow down my search by deciding that my wardrobe didn't need just any pair of Jeffrey Campbells but rather a lovely pink-colored pair. I have too many pairs of neutral-colored shoes to count so I wanted to switch things up a bit. When I spotted their "Selma" sandals in pastel pink, I immediately fell in love. However, they were out of stock on the Jeffrey Campbell website so I eagerly scoured the web to see if I could find them at another retailer.

Luckily, ShopAkira still had them in stock so I quickly purchased them. And boy, am I glad that I did! While the shoes were certainly a splurge at $120, I'd say that they were worth it. I've only had them for a couple weeks now and have worn them countless times. Saying that they're "pretty" would be the understatement of the year; they're absolutely delightful. I'm in love with the feminine pastel pink color, soft suede texture and lace-up style.

For this look, I wanted the focus of the look to be primarily on my shoes so I slipped into a simple, black bell-sleeve dress. I highlighted the lovely pink color of the heels by accessorizing with a pink ribbon choker and pink vintage purse. A pair of cat-eye sunglasses pulled the feminine, nostalgic look together.
