Hello Philadelphia

Hello! I've been back in Philadelphia for the past few days and am already counting down until this semester ends and I can go back to Richmond. For one, I definitely already miss the beautiful weather in Richmond. Over spring break, I enjoyed sunny skies and warm temperatures but am now back to dreary, chilly weather in Philadelphia (with a prediction of snow on Saturday.) I took these photos earlier this week and slipped my faux fur jacket off really quick to take them. You might not be able to tell but I was actually freezing when I was taking these photos.

For this look, I pulled a vintage tulle top out of my wardrobe. I purchased this beauty at a thrift shop over break for about $6-$7 and I'm absolutely in love with it. I was a bit hesitant to purchase this top at first because I'm very cheap when it comes to thrifting but the light green color, tulle fabric and delicate lace embroidery swept me off my feet and convinced me to purchase it. And boy, am I glad that I did! I love the ethereal feeling that this top emits and look forward to incorporating it into more of my looks this season.

I slipped on a pair of black denim with the top. Then, I tied a green & black checked flannel around my waist to emphasize the color of the top and make the look slightly more weather appropriate. Black Jeffrey Campbells completed the look.
