Hello! These photos were actually taken of my outfit last week when it was much warmer. Today, temperatures dropped to the thirties and I'm all bundled up in a cozy knit scarf and lots of layers.

As you guys probably know, I absolutely love to mix and match different patterns. My penchant for mixing prints can be seen in this look in which I paired a gray and black striped tee shirt with a red and black plaid mini skirt. Whenever I mix patterns, I try to make sure that the printed pieces share at least one color in common. In this look, both my top and shirt incorporate black into their print.

To keep the look from being too busy, I threw on a few solid black pieces including a black, faux leather jacket, black knee high socks and black oxfords. I accessorized with a pair of black winged sunglasses.

Striped tee: Forever 21
Knee high socks: DIY from old tights
Red plaid skirt: Vintage GAP
Black oxfords: Vintage
Black faux leather jacket: Marshall's
Winged sunglasses: c/o Giant Vintage

  1. That skirt is so cute. The big buttons add an extra 60's feel to it.
