Hello! Today, I debuted my new Robert Matthew tote bag. Recently, Robert Matthew sent me this bag to showcase on my blog. This is the "Robert Matthew Sophie Shoulder Tote" in peach and it retails for $192. You can purchase the tote bag HERE. The second that I spotted this bag, I fell in love. The neutral color, oversize shape and classic style make this bag simply irresistible.

The quality of the tote bag is superb. Additionally, this bag is the ideal size to carry my books and laptop to class. Most bags don't fit both my books and laptop so I was very excited to discover that this bag would work to bring with me to class. The bag also has several pockets perfect for keeping the bag organized. I love how I can carry the bag by the handles or wear it over my shoulder with the strap.

The only thing I would say about this bag is that it is a slightly more pink-peach color than depicted in the photo on the site.

For a stylish, quirky look, I paired the peachy bag with my black and white cat patterned dress. I layered a black, fringed kimono over the dress. I emphasized the golden accents on the tote bag with layered golden necklaces, quirky sunglasses and black booties with golden accents.

Today, I also pulled out my new pair of fox print socks. I recently purchased these socks from Forever 21 for just $2.50 when they had their free shipping deal last week. I'm already in love with them- the fox print is just too cute!

A big shout-out goes to Amanda Remillard and Amanda Remillard Images for these wonderful photos!

7 October Wardrobe Essentials

October

Hello! I can hardly believe that it is already October; September passed by in the blink of an eye. Like I've mentioned before, fall is my favorite season and so it should come as no surprise that October is one of my favorite months. Falling leaves, crisp air, oversize sweaters, pumpkins, Halloween...what's not to like? Below are what I consider the top 7 October wardrobe essentials.

1. Knit sweaters in fall shades. Perfect for throwing on over a pair of leggings on a day when you don't feel like dressing up or for pairing with a cute patterned dress.

2. Oversize bag. Roomy enough for everything that you need for class/work.

3. Velvet dress. Velvet dresses have really caught my attention this season; I love the glamorous feeling that velvet gives off. I just ordered a silver-y velvet dress from Forever 21 and can't wait to wear it.

4. Plaid infinity scarf. I'm embracing plaids with open arms this fall. The stylish, school-girl/prep vibe that they emit has me reaching for more and more plaid pieces. Infinity scarves like the one pictured above are great for October weather.

5. Quirky socks. Chillier weather means wearing boots more and more often so might as well pick up a few pairs of quirky socks to slip on underneath those boots.

6. High-rise denim. I don't know what I would do without my high rise denim especially when it starts to get chillier and pants are a must.

7. Silver statement necklace. Spice up a plain sweater with a bold necklace like the one above.
