3 Ways to Style Black, High-Rise Shorts

Option 1

Outfit #1: Striped top + black, high-rise shorts + tortoiseshell sunglasses + black flats. Go classic by pairing your black, high-rise shorts with a casual striped top. Tortoiseshell sunglasses and black flats add to the chic, timeless appeal of the look. Extra points for red lipstick! This look is perfect for a day spent shopping or eating out with friends.

Option 2

Outfit #2: Graphic crop top + black, high-rise shorts + combat boots + leopard print cross-body bag + oversize black sunglasses + quirky stud earrings. Calling all of my more edgy readers! Give your black, high-rise shorts an edgy/downtown cool/grunge-y vibe by pairing them with a graphic crop top and combat boots. Black oversize sunglasses, statement stud earrings and a leopard print cross-body bag perfect the look. This look is ideal to wear when you are out and about in the city.

Option 3

Outfit #3: Patterned kimono + black, high-rise shorts + laid back tank + simple sandals + floppy hat + feather ring. Make your black, high-rise shorts boho-chic by pairing them with a patterned kimono and loose tank. Evoke an even stronger boho vibe by donning simple black sandals, a feather ring and a floppy hat.

Distressed Levi's

Hello! Can you guys believe that it is already July? Where did the time go? I feel like I just graduated from high school but in reality, am less than two months away from moving into my freshman dorm. As the time ticks by, I become more and more excited for next year.

Simplicity prevailed in today's look. Basic denim shorts and a casual top are my go-to pieces for days spent catching up on my to-do list. And my to-do list today is about a mile long! So it makes sense that I slipped into a pair of classic, distressed Levi's and a comfortable leopard print shirt (I mean, leopard print is basically my best friend). To keep the look from being too boring, I added a black studded belt, black studded backpack and black combat boots.

I decided to try out a new hair style to keep the hair off of my neck. I really have no idea what to call this; basically, I just piled a bunch of hair on top of my head and secured it with bobby pins. But it works! It has stayed up all day and has helped keep my neck cool. It kind of reminds me of Elly Jackson's (of the group, La Roux) hair style.
