Camouflage and Polka Dots

Hello! This photograph is of an outfit that I recently wore on campus. Another Philadelphia University student, Kim Bartol, recently posted on our PhilaU Facebook page asking if anyone would be willing to do a photo shoot with her because she is really into photography. It should come as no surprise to you guys that I pretty much jumped at the chance. You can check out her photography page on Facebook HERE.

For the photo shoot, I wanted to wear a look that embodied all of my favorite elements of fall style. So far this fall, I've really been a fan of edgier, more urban looks. Dark colors, grunge-y boots, spiked accessories and indie sunglasses are practically shouting my name. All of those elements were involved in the look above.

I started my look out with a basic black and white polka dot dress. I have a feeling that this black and white polka dot dress may become one of my wardrobe essentials this fall. This dress can be paired with pretty much everything- it can be mixed and matched with other prints or solids, it can be layered under a sweater and jacket, it can be layered under a stylish skirt and so on and so on. For this look, I styled it with an oversize camouflage jacket. This is the perfect light-weight jacket for cool fall days. Not to mention how much I love the print...

Black combat boots, green thigh-highs, a silver spiked necklace and dark brown sunglasses completed my look.

  1. You look great! Camo and polkadots isn't something I thought would go together, but it totally works! Love it <3

  3. I love the juxtaposition of the sweet polka dots with the slightly edgier camo--it definitely works. And I love those emerald green socks!
