DIY Fishtail Skirt

Hi! This weekend I was in the mood for a DIY and stumbled across this tutorial on chictopia for a fishtail skirt. One of my maxi skirts had become a tad too short and I decided that it would be perfect for this DIY. It was extremely simple and I had it done in less than a half hour. Even though I didn't really follow the instructions, the skirt turned out great. If you have an old maxi skirt, I would definitely recommend trying this trendy DIY!

Skirt: Thrifted & then reconstructed
Top: Thrifted ZARA
Bracelets/ watch: Vintage
Shoes: Macy's
Necklace: Forever 21

  2. Very cute!! IAnd then there's the added advantage that you don't have to worry about the skirt creeping up in the back like you do with shorter skirts...(:
