2. Black Paneled Long Sleeve Mini Dress $54. I can't help but love the simple geometric print of this dress.

3. White Pockets Short Sleeve Cotton Midi Dress $85. Another great summer to fall transition piece.

Sophisticated Modern

July 2016

Hello! Is there anything better than the perfect off-the-shoulder top? I think not. Recently, LightInTheBox sent me this fab, denim off-the-shoulder top and I'm obsessed with it. I love how versatile this top is without being boring. This top retails for $13 here.

For this look, I wanted to achieve a sophisticated modern aesthetic so I paired the top with a pair of classic white shorts and tan heeled sandals. These shorts are also from LightInTheBox and retail for $13 here. I accessorized with a chic pair of golden sunglasses and fashion-forward, golden necklace. A pop of red lipstick kept the look from being boring.

Cat-Eye Obsessed

July 2016

Hello! I can't get enough of cat-eye sunglasses this season with this pair ranking high on my list of faves. Cat-eye sunglasses flawlessly combine modern with retro which is what I'm all about. And thankfully, Giant Vintage keeps me well-stocked with their ultra rad cat-eye sunglasses. The shades that I'm wearing in this look are their "Zelda" sunnies and they retail for $24 here. And they're well worth that $24! I literally wear these shades all the time. Putting them on instantly glams up any look.

For this look, I decided to keep it fairly simple in an attempt to survive this extreme summer heat (100 degrees like really?) I slipped into a stylish little black dress and let my sunglasses do the talking. A pretty shade of pink lipstick pulled the look together.

Hello! This past spring semester, I took an intro to digital photography class at PhilaU as one of my last electives. The course immediately intrigued me and as my graduation gift, my parents bought me a DSLR camera. I've started to shoot throughout the past couple weeks and I love it. Although I did take the photography class at PhilaU, I can tell that I've already improved my skills just by shooting more frequently. Today, I wanted to share some photos from one of my recent shoots with you all.

I styled and posed my sister, Missi Radday, for this shoot. For this look, I selected this flattering velvet dress from my sister's wardrobe. When I spotted this dress in my sister's wardrobe, the texture and subtly sexy silhouette of the dress instantly attracted me to it. I decided to focus on the glam of the dress and styled a black pair of platform heels with the dress. A silver statement necklace, cat-eye shades and alluring makeup pulled the look together.

Stay tuned for more photos from my photography endeavours!

Devil Plus

July 2016

Hello! Recently, Devil Plus sent me this dress to showcase on my blog. I've only had it for about a week and I'm already completely in love with it. If you're not familiar with Devil Plus, Devil Plus is an online fashion retailer specializing in dresses and lingerie for fashion-forward women. This dress is their "Occult Bones Printed Dress" and it retails for $21.29 here. The edgy print, flattering silhouette and interesting strappy details of this dress instantly drew me to it.

For this look, I wanted to keep the focus of the look on the dress so I kept accessories to a minimum, only donning a pair of cool black shades with the dress. To add a slight hint of color to the look, I slipped on a pair of dark burgundy platform heels and matching berry lipstick.

July 2016

Hello! Recently, I teamed up with Kim Liles, a LuLaRoe consultant. For those of you who are not familiar with LuLaRoe, it's a women's fashion brand with the cutest prints and modest styles. When Kim reached out to me regarding a collaboration, I was immediately excited. She picked out the perfect item for me- the "Julia" dress in a white, red and black striped print.

For this look, I wanted to keep the stripes classic. I paired the dress with simple golden jewelry, a black purse and gold-trimmed, cat-eye sunglasses. I highlighted the red in the print of the dress by styling a red bandana and bright red lipstick with the look.

Betty Pins

July 2016
July 2016

Hello! Recently, Blending by Betty sent me these adorable Betty pins to showcase on my blog and I'm completely in love with them. I'm pretty sure that I've never owned (or even seen!) pins as cute as these before. The pins retail for $10 each here. I'm especially in love with peachy moon pin that I received; if you're interested in one for yourself, you can find it for $10 here. The nature motifs and light summer-y colors have me swooning.

For this look, I decided to utilize the quirky nature of the pins for a retro-inspired look. I started the look with a peachy polka dot dress. I scooped up this authentic 60's dress at Diversity Thrift in Richmond a few months ago for less than $10 and still can't believe I was able to find such a vintage beauty with such a low price tag. I styled the dress with a vintage, mustard-colored knit shawl. A pop of deep peachy lipstick and retro cat-eye shades pulled the quirky vintage look together.

Pink on Mint

July 2016

Hello! I cannot get over my obsession with pastel pink this season. For this look, I pulled out a few of my favorite pink items from my wardrobe. I started styling this look around this drop dead gorgeous, pink bodycon dress. I'm not usually one in favor of bodycon dresses but I can't help but be in love with this one. Besides the charming color, I love the flattering fit, interesting neck detail and retro appeal. If you're interested in scooping this dress up for yourself, you can find it on sale at KJCouture for $45 here.

I accentuated the pink color of the dress with a vintage pink purse and pink lace-up heels. The retro femininity of this look has me swooning; this is by far one of my favorite looks in a while. The pink of the look was further emphasized by my pink mani/pedi. Am I wearing enough pink yet? But in all seriousness, I love the pink monochrome of this look. Bright pink lipstick pulled the look together.

LightInTheBox

July 2016
July 2016

Hello! I would say that dresses and shoes make up about 90% of my wardrobe and all pants, shirts, skirts, sweaters and jackets make up the other 10%. Not a very balanced wardrobe, I know. But hey, all I ever really want to (and actually do) wear are stylish dresses with eye-catching heels.

So when LightInTheBox reached out to me regarding a collaboration, I surprised myself by selecting a top to review instead of a dress. But I'm completely obsessed with this denim, off-the-shoulder top. Like actually obsessed. I don't think that I've ever owned a shirt that I love as much as this one. I do recall a lizard-like bell sleeve top that I had in elementary school that I couldn't get over but I think this top even beats out that one as my favorite top that I've ever owned.

No other top matches the versatility of this off-the-shoulder gem. While most versatile pieces tend to be boring, the trendy silhouette and color of this top keep it from slipping into the realm of dull tops. I was also impressed by the quality of this top. You would think that this top would retail for much more than $13! If you'd like to scoop up this top for yourself, you can purchase it here.

For this look, I decided to go boho and paired the top with a bohemian pair of floral bellbottoms. I slipped on a pair of flatform sandals with the look to show off the silhouette of the pants. I accessorized by layering on golden jewelry and slipping on a pair of golden sunglasses. A messy half bun and rhinestone studded lashes completed the free-spirited look.

Celebrating 6 Years of Fashion, Trends & More

Jason Pevey Photography
Jason Pevey Photography
Jason Pevey Photography

Hello! Today marks my blogging anniversary- six years! I can hardly believe that I've been blogging for six years. When I started my blog at age 14, I didn't expect for it to shape my life for years and years to come. In fact, my blog actually prompted me to major in fashion merchandising and management at Philadelphia University and embark on a journey to become part of the fashion industry.

Blogging has provided me with too many incredible opportunities to count and enabled me to become involved with an industry that I love- the fashion industry. Additionally, blogging has opened the door for partnerships with various brands, bloggers and photographers. I thought that sharing photos from one of my recent collaborations would be fitting for my celebratory 6 year blog post.

Recently, I had a chance to collaborate with local RVA photographers, Jason Pevey and Dorian Maris. I had a blast shooting with them and love how the photos turned out from the shoot. Above are three of my favorite photos that Jason shot. He did a wonderful job utilizing the light to enhance the colors of the photographs. I absolutely loved the cute little yellow building that we shot by in Church Hill. For the shoot, Dorian created a moodboard for inspiration around the location; the board revolved around warm colors, simple silhouettes and geometric shapes. Stay tuned for a peek at the photos Dorian took! You can follow her on Instagram @dorianmaris and Jason @jasonpevey. You can also check out Jason's website here (trust me, you're going to want to see all of his work like wow!)

Here's to another six (and beyond) years of blogging!

Pretty in Plum

June 2016

Hello! Surprise- another monochromatic look! I can't get enough of color and monochromatic outfits this season. As I try to think of an explanation for my recent love of color and monochromatic looks, the concept of strength in fashion plays around in my brain. There's nothing visually stronger or more striking than monochrome aesthetics; monochromatic outfits convey a sense of boldness and strengh unlike any other kind of outfit can.

For this look, I slipped into a corduroy, plum-colored dress. I accentuated the deep color of the dress with a pair of platform heels in a matching color, a plum-colored ribbon choker and deep shade of berry lipstick. I accessorized with my golden "Tori" necklace (can't get enough of this piece recently!) and a golden crystal necklace. I'm drawn to the simple, boho-witchy mood created through my use of color and styling of this look.

For this look, I decided to play around a little with my makeup. I used to have the most monotonous, most boring beauty routine and in the past couple months, I've decided to shake up my beauty routine. I've enjoyed testing out new products as well as experimenting with different makeup styles. I've come to the conclusion that my personal style is far from boring so shouldn't my beauty routine mirror that? For this look, I played around with my makeup by lining my bottom lash line with faux rhinestones. Talk about glam! I love how visually intriguing this look is, it's not something that you're likely to see on a daily basis (although I'm about ready to start wearing it on a daily basis.) I'd definitely say that this makeup risk paid off!

Blue on Blue

June 2016

Hello! This season, I've been particularly inspired and influenced by color. My fondness for color this season has slowly worked it's way into a new fondness for monochrome aesthetics. In particular, I've been playing around with monochromatic outfits. There's just something about a monochromatic look that's so different, so unique than any other look; monochromatic outfits subtly invoke a sense of bold statement style. While this outfit wasn't exactly monochromatic- hey, I am wearing a navy blue dress with a pair of forest green wedges- I did shoot the photos against a blue wall that mirrored the color of my dress to create a monochromatic appeal with the shoot.

For this look, I started with this navy blue, off-the-shoulder dress. The trendy silhouette, interesting texture and stunning color of this dress make it one of my favorite dresses in my wardrobe this season. I decided to stick with cool colors and styled a pair of green wedges and a green clutch with the look. I stacked on several golden necklaces and rings with the look to add a touch of boho. Golden sunglasses and blue statement earrings pulled the look together.

June 2016
June 2016

Hello! I've been wearing this leopard print dress so much recently that my parents have begun to joke that it's the only dress that I own. But hey, I can't help it! The silhouette and cut of this dress make it the ideal dress to slip on in an attempt to avoid the summer heat. Additionally, I love the funky leopard print and flattering skater shape of this dress.

For this look, I styled the dress with a pair of cat-eye sunglasses to enhance the feline charm of the print of the dress. I added a slight pop of color to the look with a pair of baby blue mules and several quirky vintage pins. A gray clutch pulled the look together.

Monochromatic Baby Blue

June 2016
June 2016

Hello! Recently, I've been particularly drawn to monochromatic looks. There's just something so striking about wearing only one color. It creates such a bold, dramatic effect. For this look, I decided to style a monochromatic look around my baby blue romper.

I started by tying a baby blue ribbon around my neck to capture this season's choker trend. Then I slipped into a pair of baby blue mules. I kept my jewelry simple, only slipping on a pair of charming blue statement earrings. Light blue eyeshadow completed this ethereal monochromatic look.

Cat Eye Charm

June 2016
June 2016

Hello! Will I ever get tired of this dress? I think not. I splurged on this dress ($60 at Urban Outfitters) last fall but every penny I paid for this dress was worth it. I've worn it constantly for the past year or so. From wearing it with an infinity scarf and interesting tights in January to styling it with my Dad's vintage Boy Scouts jacket to layering it over a leopard print button down in late winter, this dress has practically been on repeat in my wardrobe for months now. Chances are that if you know me and hang out with me in person, I've worn this dress around you more times than you can keep track of. It's just that cute!

For this look, I decided to focus on enhancing the femininity of this dress. I decided to emphasize the feminine nature of the dress by pairing it with a pretty pastel pair of platform heels and a girly white hair bow. I accessorized with a purple ribbon worn as a choker and vintage cat-eye sunglasses. Purple lipstick, accent rhinestones by my eyes and light pink eyeshadow also worked to convey the femininity of the aesthetic I was after with this look.
