Below are my top three favorite cute homecoming 2014 dresses on their site:

Sweater Weather

 photo IMG_4298_zpse089f8b3.jpg

Hello! Although it may still be a little early for sweater weather, I couldn't resist debuting this burgundy sweater. I purchased this lightweight knit sweater at an Urban Outfitters sale for less than $20 this past summer. The oversized shape, texture combination and rich color instantly captured my attention.

This is the perfect sweater to throw on over leggings or over a printed dress on a chilly day. While it wasn't exactly chilly, I still decided to slip this sweater on over top of a black and white polka dot dress.

I decided to keep my accessories to a minimum and simply grabbed a golden necklace and little golden bag. This bag is the perfect size for holding my keys and ID and I find myself reaching for it again and again this semester. I also purchased this bag at the Urban Outfitters sale for less than $20. Talk about a good sale!

Black Doc Martens completed the look.

Big thanks to my roommate, Bhumi, for taking this photo for me!

Back in Action

 photo DSCN0027_zpsc64144f9.jpg

Hello! It feels so good to be back in action in Philadelphia. The excitement of seeing everyone for the first time in months, breaking out my fall wardrobe and beginning new classes is overwhelming. These past few days have been eventful and exhausting but I am definitely glad to be back at Philadelphia University. Now let's just see if I'll be able to make it through my statistics and microeconomics courses...

Chris snapped this photo of my previous roommate, Taisha, and I outside of our business models class on Tuesday. I broke out this plaid shirtdress for the second day of classes. I recently purchased this dress for about $30 at H&M and am already falling in love with it. I mean honestly, how could I resist the dark colors and stylish print of the dress? I also love how the sleeves can be worn rolled up or down. Also, come on do you see the front pocket on this dress? So convenient for holding my lipstick or keys and whatnot.

I played up the navy in the dress with simple navy wedges. I accessorized with a gray color-blocked tote (the ideal size for holding my books and laptop), a pile of rings and black cat-eye sunglasses.

On me:
Plaid shirt dress: H&M
Navy wedges: Thrifted
Color blocked tote: Unknown
Rings: Assorted (Urban Outfitters, Vintage, Charlotte Russe)
Cat-eye sunglasses: c/o Giant Vintage

Side note: Totally drooling over Taisha's outfit. And it's not fair how perfect her hair is oh my gosh. Be sure to follow her on instagram @tmoniquee_ for snapshots of her daily looks.

Soul Carrier

 photo DSCI1996_zps6e9bfc11.jpg

Hello! I recently received this oversized tote bag c/o Soul Carrier. Soul Carrier sells bags with a mission behind them. Soul Carrier was founded by Jennifer Paige who was inspired to create the line after the death of both of her parents in a car accident. She wanted to channel her grief and emotion into something positive which she did by founding Soul Carrier.

As the Soul Carrier website states, "Soul Carrier hopes to design products that inspire people to find the things that make them come alive and put their soul in alignment. It lights us up to create products that will be a part of someone's journey."

When Soul Carrier offered to send me a product to showcase on my blog, I was ecstatic. Soul Carrier carries very classic, unique leather handbags. I had a hard time deciding upon my favorite! I finally decided on the "Kelly Beth" tote bag in dark brown with watermelon colored accents. The tote retails for $395 here

The quality of this bag is absolutely incredible and I was beyond pleased when I first opened the bag up in the mail. I love the rich dark brown and the structure of the bag. The bag is also very roomy which makes it the perfect tote for school or for quick weekend getaways. Additionally, the pockets in the interior of the bag make it incredibly easy to organize your stuff in. Overall, I'm very happy with this bag! Be sure to check out Soul Carrier here.

I styled it with a printed romper, white jelly sandals, round sunglasses and several layered necklaces.

Hello! These photos were taken last week while I was still in Richmond. I styled my look around this bright orange dress. Although I typically steer away from bright colors, this dress is definitely an exception. I am not repelled by the color but rather drawn to it. Additionally, I'm in love with the free-spirited floral print and loose shape. I paired the dress with a pair of leopard print boots, neutral bag, layered golden necklaces and round sunglasses.

Back in Philadelphia

 photo IMG_4195_zps02846e58.jpg

Hello! I'm baaaaaaaaack in Philadelphia! I'm so glad to be back at school and be reunited with all of my friends. This is a quick snapshot taken outside McDonald's along my journey back to school.

I styled my dress around this new mustard colored dress. I recently purchased this dress from Forever 21 and am already in love with it. The mustard yellow color, waffled texture and nipped waist of the dress have me drooling. I accessorized with a boho tote bag, studded sandals, a pair of bold black sunglasses and a couple of golden necklaces.

Hello! These photos are from last Wednesday, August 13th when I celebrated my 19th birthday. I spent the day shopping (picking up lots of great additions to my fall wardrobe) and getting my first tattoo. I got the words "carpe diem" tattooed in cursive on the side of my ribs. You can check out my instagram @toriradday to see a photo of it.

I know I haven't been blogging much but I've been swept up in packing and getting ready to go back to PhilaU. More posts to come soon!

Simple Auras

 photo 5b1aef60-ea15-45bf-83f0-8689c2fc2b89_zpscb47a814.png

Hello! Today, I have an interview with Savannah Shaw, owner of etsy shop, Simple Auras, to share with you guys today. Savannah and I are in the same class at Philadelphia University and she is one of the most down-to-earth, creative students in my class. When I found out that she had opened her own etsy shop, I was eager to check it out. I fell in love with her shop while browsing the selection of earrings, necklaces, photographs and prints. Prices range between $5-$20; very affordable! Check out my interview with Savannah below:

What’s your major at Philadelphia University? My major is Industrial Design! A lot of people usually just nod their heads when I tell them that my major is ID, but they really have no clue what it’s about. Wikipedia’s definition of Industrial Design is the easiest to understand in my opinion, “Industrial design is the use of both applied art and applied science to improve the aesthetics, design, ergonomics, functionality, and/or usability of a product, and it may also be used to improve the product's marketability and even production.” It’s an extremely broad major, which is a reason I love it because I don’t stay interested in things for too long.

What drew you to industrial design? Like I said before, it’s super broad. I could design shoes for Nike, use technology like laser cutting to make acrylic jewelry, research and use fire resistant fabric to make fire/rescue gear for firemen, design and build furniture, or use my knowledge of design as a tool to aid the other 90% of the world with limited resources.

When did you open Simple AurasI opened my etsy shop on July 8th, 2014 which is a little over a month ago!

How did you come up with the name for your etsy shop? I remember when I was making the shop that the name was the hardest part of the process. SimpleAuras came to mind because most of my designs are somewhat simple or start off simple. I’m also interested in the auras of people and things. Everyone and everything, radiate energy and I try to create items that bring and accept positive energy.

What drew you to open your etsy shop? My love of creating started when I was little; I’ve been making presents for friends and family for years. With a year of design school under my belt, I figured it could only help me down the road in my career. It helps me keep a creative mind all year round, even in the summer, which my professors say is necessary.

Primarily, what does Simple Auras sell? In my shop you’ll find earrings, necklaces, matted black and white photographs, a couple linoleum prints. I usually have a couple handmade or vintage miscellaneous items as well.

What is your favorite product to create for your shop? I had these two triangular wooden crystal shelves, which were a lot of fun to make, but they both recently sold!

Savannah is also open to doing custom pieces and commissioned pieces. If you spend over $10, use coupon code auras10 for 10% off and if you spend over $15, use coupon code auras15 for 15% off.

Be sure to check out Simple Auras

Hello! Yesterday, I pulled this incredible sunflower print dress out of my wardrobe. The delicate sunflower print as well as the easy, breezy shape make this one of my favorite dresses in my wardrobe. I switched things up by layering a dark crop top over the dress. Vintage loafers and classic sunglasses completed the look.

Hello! As the summer progresses, it is beginning to feel like I've worn every summer item of clothing in my wardrobe and am running out of styling possibilities. I am relying more and more on innovation and my creativity to style unique, new looks.

For this look, I began with a printed romper. The vivid print and colors drew me to this romper and the basic shape of the romper makes it perfect for layering. I highlighted the white in the print of the romper by donning a white, lace peplum top. I love the way that the print peeks out from behind the semi-sheer top. White sunglasses and jellies complemented the top. Bright red lipstick added the final touch to my look.

Sixties Flower Child

Hello! These photos were taken last week; A big shout-out  goes to Thor Macht and TM 8688 Photography for these photos; my sister and I love how they turned out! To see more of his photography, check out and like his page on Facebook here or follow on Instagram here

While styling for the shoot, I was very inspired by the hippie fashion of the sixties. The sixties were definitely my favorite decade for fashion. If only I could time travel back to the sixties! (although, I'm not sure I'd survive without my iPhone or Mac...)

My dress looks like it was taken right out of the sixties with its bright orange color, simple floral print and loose shape. I kept the focus primarily on my dress by styling it with a pair of white jelly sandals and sunglasses. A daisy flower crown kept the "sixties flower child" vibe going.

I styled my sister's look around my vintage psychedelic dress. The trippy print and unique shape draw me to this dress again and again. I kept her look simple too with just a pair of simple silver sandals. A purple flower crown completed her look.

On me:
Orange dress: Urban Outfitters
Jelly sandals: JuJu
White sunglasses: Buffalo Exchange
Flower crown: DIY

On my sister:
Printed dress: Vintage
Sandals: c/o Rocket Dog
Flower crown: DIY
