A Day in The Park

Today I went to Maymont, a park type area with animals, near me. It was a beautiful day and these are some of the pictures I took while there.

Tights for Sale!

Right now there is a huge sale going on at Urban Outfitters. They have sale starting at $10 for many different things. The best thing in my opinion that they have on sale is their collection of tights. There are two reasons for my thinking: they have quality tights(they don't rip as easily as other tights) and the prices(of the tights) start at $7. I really like these("Ditsy Floral Tights"). The only bad thing is you have to pay shipping($10 or free shipping if you spend $150). So what do you think?

Plato's Closet Grab Bag Event

When? February 19th, 2011

Where? Plato's Closet Stores

What? You go to Plato's Closet early and wait for them to open up. You want to be one of the first people in the store. As you go in, the employees will hand you a small Plato's Closet bag. You then go to the sale section and grab as much as you can and shove it into the bag. If you pack the stuff in the right way it's possible to fit 15+ items in the bag. The bag costs $15 and you will save a lot of money! So are you going to go?
Dates vary by location so don't forget to check with your local store for all the details!

Another Lovely Thrift Store Find

All cost $1 each at a thrift shop. They are just so cute! I don't know if you can tell but the gold figures on the black belt are elephants. Good luck for me right?

Thrift Store Chic

Today I went shopping at this little thrift store near me and scored this handbag. The label says Toni and it only cost $2! What a steal!

Closet Organization Tip #4

My 4th tip to you is don't be scared to get rid of clothes. If something is too small or you just don't like it, give it to Goodwill! If it is too big or damaged, try to make it work but if it doesn't, once again send it off to the local thrift shop.

I Love This Dress!

How cute! This dress can be purchased for $59(plus shipping) on Urban Outfitter's website.

New Trend: Oxford Flats

Oxford flats are effortlessly chic! They are a great alternative to flats and probably keep your feet warmer too! You can go with a simple, plain oxford or a floral oxford like the one in the picture. These shoes just add so much style to any outfit. What do you think about oxford flats?

Closet Organization Tip #3

If you want your closet to be nice then you have to buy the right hangers. No wire hangers. They fall down, get messed up easily and leave obvious marks on the clothing. Wooden, padded, and velvet hangers are all good choices. Also it's best if you get all of the same color, size and kind of hanger. If you can't it's fine, it just won't look as 'perfect'. (My hangers are all turquoise-y blue but not all the same shade and they look fine.)

Jewelry: $2 and Under

If you are in need of inexpensive jewelry, you can always hit up a thrift shop but you can also head to Forever 21. Their jewelry starts at $1.50 and includes rings, bracelets, necklaces, and earrings. You can find modern pieces of jewelry or pieces that look antique. They also have a massive amount of jewelry to choose from so no matter what your style, Forever 21 will likely have jewelry that works for you. Oh, the joys of Forever 21!

Falling In Love With Cameos

I love cameos especially vintage cameos! I bought this one at an auction a few years ago and it is just so pretty. You can buy cameos online, in antique/thrift stores, estate sales and auctions. So what do you think? Do you love cameos?

Closet Organization Tip #2

My second tip to you is to organize your shoes so that you can see all of them. I line mine up on a bookshelf but that isn't the only way to do it. Some people like to keep the shoes in the shoebox and put a picture of the shoes with a label on the outside. There are also some good shoe organizers that you can buy from container or organization shops. How do you organize your shoes?

TOMS: Not Only Chic

I have wanted Toms for a while now but unfortunately my feet are too narrow for them, which is too bad because Toms are great shoes. They are not only chic but for every pair purchased a pair is given to someone who needs them. What could be better than that?
